Can the Sony Vita resist the 3DS storm?

you know what sony was in trouble for a long time how do you miss the fact they waited so long to announce a successor! thats their first mistake is waiting on the shoe to drop --nintendo was the shoe but then again theres several more mistakes i see with the psvita !
1-price the cost to own a fully functional vita ($269) sure you can buy one for 249,99 that wont get you far if one of the main titles need a memory stick to boot it up pretty good sony ! you managed to trick a few but not me

2-games library once again they worried about power over its line up as a result vita will see mostly ps3 ports /multiplats over any good original or classic ps1 ip ! and you already can say good bye to many ps1 classics that were once exclusive to sony ! cause they no longer have that luxury --- that is their start of the downward spiral ive been saying this every since nfs spyro crash etc went multiplatform during the ps2 era its just now finally catching up to them

3 waiting so darn long to release a portable that has less battery life-1 hr 30 mins less on max and 2 hours on min vs 3ds

didnt sony learn their lesson the first time around? appearently not! they waited for the shoe to drop ,, and decided that power would save them so no its not going to even so much as put a dent in the 3dses sales, you see it already psvita is already dropped to a low of 72k , , in its second week! with an supposively better launch line up? then the 3ds im really starting to question that remark right there because 3ds sold more in the same 2 days of its launch week and then sold 200 k the 2nd week so far , vita has failed to even match 3ds starting numbers ,, and it wont change in the us because us hardly buys handhelds and nintendo is still popular over here even more so then psp , and since psv is launching with 6 less games then in japan

i doubt the sales will be any more , then psp it could even be less because of the dis trust sony has brought upon themselves

launch in japan was key for sony and they botched that ,, so there is no way any one can make excuses ,

they did so with psp psp go and now vita what is the excuse you aint got one because there is not one , instead theres a fact
nintendo knows the handheld market more then any other company who has tried to compete against it
in fact sony has made the same mistake this time that they made last time

lets look at game gear vs gameboy
gamegear had better visuals am i right?
but what came of that is
1- 3 hour battery life -vita only lasts 4 hours and 35 minutes at most -3ds on low 5-6 playing ds games 8 hours
2- pricing --- gb was an easy 99 dollars game gear asked for 199 or 299 or something like that , vita vs 3ds and ds vs psp

ds original by the time psp came out was $129,99 but also was launched 100 dollars cheaper
the 3ds and psv basic model was or is launching at $249.99 but nintendo quickly answered the slow start with a price cut droping it to 169,99-good call id say
another thing that complicated vitas launch is the fact youll need a 20 dollar memory card which actually brings the vitas price to 269.99 thats another 100 dollars over the ds familys pricing! again sony didnt learn the same mistakes will always lead to the same problems make all the excuses you want
but facts dont change !


handhelds never revolved around graphic hungry power devouring pricey devices and obviously aint gonna start any time soon

in fact even in the console market powerful consoles fail to out sell the least powerful family friendly wii/ps2/ps1 systems , lol you seen the history , , the only time power won was during the nes and snes eras after that it quickly became who had the better games and its appearent nintendo does vs sony and definatelly microsoft

third party really dont play factor at all because wii hardly has many games like skyrim and still manages to out sell 360 and ps3 on and off , and since wii is so far ahead it doesnt need to sell any more to prove its victory

i dont give a rats behind what excuse you guys come up with for ps3 and 360 or vita psp vs ds 3ds the fact is , people play games they do not play graphics! sony learned that lesson well with teh cell! they payed big dividends but since microsoft hardly held off sony by a inch !
they should learn from nintendo and sonys past ps1 and 2 systems that graphics is the least important thing


instead they should have got good games out instead they leave it up to third party multiplats which when in competition with nintendo is a big mistake

proof is in the sales of the following games
wii sports
wii sports resort
mariokart
new super mario bros
wii play
wii party
wii fit /wiifit plus
these games sold well over 9 million copies in fact mariokart wii sports and wii sports resort have sold over a quarter million wii sports sold 100 million sure thats disputable but since resort is also getting to the 100 m mark , you cant dispute it any more

fact is nintendo was able to sell all of its exclusives more faster then microsoft or sony could of its own multiplats and exclusives
which is why i think vita has no chance if anything it will hold its own ! but it will not affect nintendo one bit
