I had the dots problem. I first noticed it in RE4 and then MP3. I kept putting off returning it, then just before the warranty ran out I decided to send it back (12 month warranty in Australia).
Posted it on a Monday and had it back in my hands the Wednesday of the following week.
Brand new console, All saves/Miis were transferred. I was very impressed with their service.
