They'll sell huge amounts of softeware though as result of the 3DS' success same with Sony and MS the business model is perfectly fine, I don't even think they're selling at a loss as I read somewhere that 3DS is being sold for no profit as in the price people are paying now is the price it's being manufactured at so they're neither taking a loss or making profit on it.
