3DS killing it, as usual in Japan

Those are some atrocious numbers for the Vita, Sony will have a hard time killing the PSP in Japan that thing is still selling.

Wii is down 43k from last year, if you don´t understand that the Wii is declining quick, IDK what to tell you. No one said, and will never say that a Nintendo console as cheap as the Wii will not sell on Holiday season, what most people understand is that you have to keep your home console relevant by giving people games, and in my mind Nintendo could have done a lot better after the Wii prime.

And PS3 is up 13k on last year, surprising nice numbers

SMH on dance games selling in Japan

True enough Mr. Amaral...ture enuoghe!

IDK what to tell you when the Wii has been on decline for a while now and the PS3 still cannot handle it on the holidays with a 13k gain.

Not taking anything away from Sony they still won the year with the PS3 over the Wii, but the Wii did well for what it put out.

You don´t understand why the Wii on a decline still sells more then the PS3 on Holidays?

Consoles sold in Japan PS3 7.5M Wii 12M, "cool" console to have is the Wii. So wait, after years of both consoles being out, I never cared to buy a console, and I can have the "coolest" console for half the price? (hard choice)

Can you guess why the Wii declining worldwide, is still able to have huge boosts on Nov/Dec?

Just look at the PSP and the VITA (or the ds and 3ds when it released). Can I have a portable for half the price, that all my friends have, with a very nice library of games for half the price?

Price is HUGE on holidays

The reason why the Vita numbers are not a complete failure for Sony is because they know it would be very difficult to sell a portable for that price for 1M people FW. Sony sells consoles in the long-term, they want the Vita to be out there for a long time, and they need to have a expensive console day 1, because they need the technology 5 years after launch to have great games because they don´t have the Marios that sell regardless of "quality". These numbers are bad regardless, but this idea that Sony will price drop the Vita now is nonsense, IMO.
