So then you are willing to say that there is no reason to assume one way or another that PS3 adjustments will be any more or any less than 360 adjustments that may or may not be made over the next couple of months?

Well, considering they had the PS3 undertracked by ~150K in the US alone last month, I wouldn't exactly say there is no reason for doubt.  All I know is that since I have been a member, when it comes to adjustments the PS3, for the most part, is adjusted up, while the 360 is usually spot on or dropped down slightly.  Of course, I'm not going to go around posting undertracked without an actual reason, which I will admit some do.  Like last month I was saying the PS3 was undertracked, which it was.  But my reasoning was that after doing the math, the amount of stock of holiday bundles in each store would have been too low for Black Friday.

And those adjustment has already been made.  I would not be surprised at all if the VGC numbers in December dont match up with the NPD numbers. I would not be surprised one bit to see the 360 numbers on VGC to low.  With all the great deals on the 360 that were available the past two weeks I expected the 360 lead on the PS3 to grow. I expected the 360 to hit 3 million in the US in December.  Still I am not going to include that in the speculation threads that go on day to day, week to week.  I also believe that PS3 numbers were tracked low because Sony was so quiet after Black Friday weekend leading to the belief that the PS3 didnt do so well.  Before people go well PS3 will then be undertracked as well in December there is 1 key difference between Black Friday and December for the PS3 and that is the lack of the Black Friday bundle for $200.

It still seems to me that VGC is more accurate at tracking the 360 in most regions when compared to the PS3.  Either way, I guess we'll just have to wait til NPD and shipment numbers in January.  I do agree it is ridiculous for people to continue to bring it up when we only have a few weeks before NPD comes out to compare it to our numbers.
