Nintendo knows that Retro will make a good game. Nintendo asks Retro to develop the game. Retro develops the game. The game is very good and sells better than average. Gamers are happy. Nintendo makes money. The cycle repeats.
P.S. Why would the employes leave a secure job backed by Nintendo of all companies in an economy like this one?
