This has been a pretty common fact that it was to replace the Pagan holiday and that it wasn't actually Jesus's birthday. Even my Bible makes note of that.
With that said, the Bible also says that some Christians will celebrate holidays that they consider sacred while others will not. The date itself isn't what is important, but the actual humble birth of the Savior Christ.
