it's just the truth, our german gaming industry is very weak compared to the gaming market in germany. only the simulation game sector (economy simulation and so on) is good here everything else is for little kids or to learn something. crytek is the only developer other people on this planet even know lol. and for anno, i believe most people outside germany have no clue what this is ;)
we are good in building machines, cars, for having great orchestras or whatever but we are really not known on this planet for our great games.

depends on the genre. Anything with adventure/strategy/simulation and RPG is big in Germany. If your a PC gamer, you will know quite a few German games. No matter where you live.

yes this is right but that doesn't change the fact that germany isn't such a big player in the gaming industry like other countries but germany is one of the biggest market. we could be much bigger and even if we are a big player for pc gaming this is only a small market compared to the console sector and if you talk about the industry you have to talk about the whole industry.
if another country like finland makes the best spark plugs then they are still no big player in the car industry.
