Good support covers a broad range of tastes and the Wii releases in 2011 certainly didn't do it in an adequate manner. Not in Japan, not in the rest of the world. That's because there are right now 3-4 games worth buying for the Wii.
It doesn't matter that it had a weak year when you enter the holiday period as long as your lineup is currently strong.
