Out of the total 8.9 million units of Modern Warfare 3 sold in November (a figure supplied by analyst firm Cowen) fewer than 100,000 were for the Wii, and even fewer were for Windows.

PC did worst then expected.

Retail PC did worst than expected, I'm sure that the digital download sales are much higher. Retail PC game sales are almost dead, most people who buy PC games do it in Steam/GoG/other digital download service, and we do it in high numbers.

This needs to stop. Steam etc are doing fine, but are not twice as big as retai. We don't get any numbers at all, so this is speculation only. The last time we received numbers was for Witcher 2 and it did not look too good.

maybe we are looking at combines sales (digital and retail) in the range of 200k - 300k. This would mean that the ratio between digital and retail would be like 3:1 in favour of digital sales and to me this seems like a stretch.

We have some numbers of steam: http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

The numbers aren't that high, compared to X360 or PS3 numbers, but 60k concurrent users in a weekday isn't a low number.
