I'm kinda going to have to call bullshit on this one, the in-engine trailer was way too polished for the game to be 3-4 years from release. This isn't about The Last of Us, it's about another game which isn't known yet. Studios can have 2 games in development at the same time if studio has 2 teams, like Naughty Dog now has. 1 team on Naughty Dog is making The Last of Us, we don't know what another team is making.
And Sony didn't announce it, only this composer talked about the job in radio without revealing anything. And 3-4 years is completely normal development time if you have to do new engine for new generation.
