Do gamers want voice acting in Nintendo made games? Do we know what we want?

I'd go with no, and what the poster said about a company being forced to change voice actors is true, atleast to my experience; I loved the voice over of Peach in SM64 and MK64, but ever since Leslie Swan was changed for somebody else, I was enraged and to some degree to this day. And don't get me started on the the Sonic characters, OMG that was painfull! >_<

true keeping voice actors around can be difficult, but that works perfectly well for some games.  Zelda in particular is specifically supposed to be a different cast every time so it'd make sense to have a different cast of voice actors every game.  Established IP's should probably keep the main character silent to keep from having the issue you mention (changing side character voices isn't that bad), but remember even now most of those characters have voice actors (all the Mario characters) they just don't say much.
