I think people took my comment the wrong way.

By lack of substance, I meant Skyrim is basically a sandbox with NPC's, small towns and quests implemented in. The game hasn't got varied environments or an intensive story or complicated sequences, the game at it's core is fairly simple. Not that I think the game is bad in anyway, I will be buying it very soon and I will thoroughly enjoy it, I just don't see lots of effort in Bethesda's games, they just have a simple formula that is luckily enjoyable.
