Yes, german and soviet soldiers fought a disgusting fight - on both sides. No card games or shared christmas in the trenchs during lull in the fighting like in WWI.

Without the support by USA with material, Stalin would have had lost the fight. Because Hitler attackt Soviets before Soviets were ready to attack not only Germany but whole Europ.

Its upside down: If ther is anybody how has to say thank you, then Soviets have to thank UK and USA!

UK wanted to destroy Germany, because of its rising economical power since 1900.
Thats the reason Churchill let become a limited conflict between Germany and Poland to becoming a WW.
Hilter never wanted to attack France or Britain or USA.
There were two rising powers and Churchill (only the balance of power and destruction of Germany in his mind) knew that he has to support the weaker of both ones - the Soviet Union. No matter what does it mean in the long run.

Churchill is most over - and misrated person in western history.

You're the most disrespectful ignorant idiotic person.  I'm not gonna click that link i dont care what some russian man said you go and believe him. Soviets don't deserve any respect? do you have any idea that if it wasn't for the Soviets the Nazis would have won the war.  Do you even know why Hitler chose to attack Soviet Union? it was part of the "Lebenstraum" plan to conquer the East and enslave all the Slavic people(Russians,Poles,Ukranians).  That's the reason why many russian civilians fought the German occupiers even though their own government was evil.  Yes the allies did send supplies to the Russians but it wasn;t enough it did help a little but it wasn;t that much. In fact the allies promised Stalin that they would open a second front in 1942 but they never did, then they promised that  they will open a second fron in 1943 yet again they lied.  They wanted the Soviets to completly destroy the Wehrmacht so by 1944 they would come and easily take over the western europe.  If teh Russians surrendered in 1941 then AMERICANS AND BRITISH WOULD OF BEEN IN A BIG TROUBLE!  so you should be thanking the Russian people for fighting and not surrendering. YOU  IGNORANT FOOL.
