I love the MK series, however I will not allow nostalgia to fog my perspective. If we went by the games I played most and had the fondest view of Nostalgia wise then they would go in order.Super Mario Kart, MariKart64 and then Double Dash followed by MKDS and MKWii with the others simply not getting enough play to really have an impact nostalgically.

But in reality my favorite MK games in order of best to worst are

1.MarioKart 7, I haven't played this as much as the others but fell in love with it. I like the online and other multiplayer aspects of it even more then MKDS, at least from what I have experianced.

2.MKDS, I loved getting online to play MarioKart and my favorite mode Balloon Battle kept me busy online for hours. I played the game to death I also liked the lack of friend codes for most online play.

3.MarioKart64, I really love MarioKart64 too this day. The game is solid and still stands up gameplay wise with the best kart racers on the market. Personally I prefer playing it to the remaining games on the list, assuming I have the friends at my house to play.

4.MarioKart:Wii , loved using the wheel and the motion controls. But didn't like online very much it seemed like a step backwards from MKDS. The gameplay was great but again could have been better.

5.Super Mario Kart , this game was amazing for its time. Now would I pick to play it today over my top 3? Not likely and whether I would play it over Wii depends on my mood. The game is so fun and even though it hasn't aged all that well its still fun to go back and play.

6.Double Dash, I loved Double Dash on my GameCube it was innovative and the graphics were so beautiful. But I didn't really enjoy the tandom karting experiance as much as the single kart experiance. It was still fun to play but I didn't enjoy it as much as the other games in the series.

7.Super Circuit, I enjoyed Super Circuit and bought it to play with my buddy on our GBA's. But in all honesty it is by far the worst game in the series. I mean it was enjoyable but not that memorable. Only reason I remember it is because GBA had a serious lacking of software at the time so Mario Kart got a lot of play. But it really didn't bring anything truly unique to the table.
