You fucked your poll up!!! lol @ Mario Kart Wii (PSP)

--Oh, just saw your other post.  All you had to do to snake (aka: drafting in the world of racing) is follow the car in front of you for a few seconds.  You'll get a speed boost.  It happens in real life racing, too.  I found out about it by watching Talledega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. And it's back in MK7.  Sorry :(

Nah, that isn't "snaking" in Mario Kart DS.  Snaking was exploiting the mini turn turbos (turbos you get when drifting around a corner).  So basically the person would be going back and forth (like a snake) mini turbo-ing the entire course.  What you described is drifting which isn't the same as using a turn turbo.  Perhaps I confused you when I said drift turbo; I meant the turbos you get around turns.

Well.  That's embarrassing.

In our defense, we were taught to do that by Mario Kart 64.  If you get a fast enough time in Time Trial, you get to race against the developer's ghosts on that track.  Those guys were always in a constant state of "mini-turbo".  The only way to keep up (since you can't shoot them) was to copy their technique.

I've learned a lot, this morning.
