| TWRoO said: Third parties have rarely made an effort on the console since it launched, and Nintendo has essentially given up on it [Wii] already (they don't really have the resources to hold up two consoles without any help) as such there will be nothing to hold the console up. Maybe if a significant number of Wii's start failing a-la PS2, people will be picking up replacement hardware, but otherwise it would have to rely on the few people who like to pick up consoles cheap at the end of the generation. |
good point about the replacement consoles.
How many of those PS2s sold from 06-now were people replacing their old PS2 phat with the slim? Not to mention Sony took away the BC of the PS3 back in 08 (when only about 20 mil had been sold) I actually got the last BC PS3 they sold, the 80GB BC MGS4 bundle w/ 4 USB ports, now they are no BC 2 USB ports, but they are smaller at least with more HD space.
