For one they didnt show any actual games. Everything was a tech demo. Sure that Zelda looked great, but if thats not coming out anytime soon whats the point? THere wasnt that much info on it, we still dont know the actual specs. Third party support, showing footage of games running on ANOTHER competing company's machine and saying look at the support we are getting is crap. How about showing some ACTUAL games running on the machine. Vita did, hell 3DS did it.

What’s the point of showing of something that coming 5 years later? The point is to show how Zelda might look like on the system. Tech demos show how games could be played if you don’t see the points of these things well “what’s wrong with you”?
Some developers had games running on the system within 5 weeks like Darksiders 2 developer but Nintendo chose not to have it playable on the show floor. Why is that you ask? Well I don’t know, that’s just something Nintendo choose not to do.
The point with the conference was to show what and how the system can be used. And to assure the “hardcore” gamers that whatever the PS360 has today can be done on WiiU and a lot more.
If you as a company don’t yet know what the systems final specs are going to be then you don’t say until you know. Why promise something and give you less or say that the system can only do this and disappoint people for period of time and then say that it can do more? That’s bad marketing and will only hurt them in the end.

My point is NO actual games were shown. I dont really care that they showed how Zelda "might" look like, I want to see what actual games they are making in the pipeline. ANd as far as I saw, they have zilch. If you are impressed by a bunch of demos that wont even amount to actual games, then more power too you. You reveal, you better show games
Some developers, yeah sure. Why were they not there, it would have been a hell of alot better than showing stock footage of games running on other systems. Why would Ninty NOT show footage, it makes no sense. IMHO there probably wasnt anything too show. I'll believe it when I see it.
Not quite sure what PS360 have to do with Wii U, but it would be sad if it wasnt able to match consoles that came out years ago. Not sure why you're trying to turn it into a "hardcore" gamer thing
Then why show anything??? You're showing off what is essentially a product not even close to completion?? But you know what, the way they did it was better. Or they could have just waited for the next e3, but whatever.

This is to show how the machine can be used both for uncreative developers and for the fans that can’t imagine how things would work without anybody telling them how things could work on it.
They didn’t have actual games to show but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t show anything to build anticipation.
Showing that it can do games the PS360 (which will be native 1080p natively as confirmed by Nintendo mind you) is a good thing just for the sake of showing that the least it could do are these games.
Actual games will be shown in 2012 anyway so what difference does it make if they won’t come out until then anyway?
Games can’t be made from the ground up in a few weeks to do what the system can actually do. Seriously you need to look at things more realistically and not just what you want and think they should have done. Development kits hadn't even been out for that long before the unveiling of it.

remove your love from Ninty from the equation and look at it from a critcal eye. I said the REVEAL sucked, not the actual console itself. THe reveal sucked IMHO because it didnt show anything that we pretty didnt know about prior to the show. THe only thing we really got was confirmation of the tablet. 100%, it wasnt even 50%. Showing games that I can already play on my current gen systems is not going to excite me, maybe if you're a Wii only owner and you've been missing out then yeah, but thats not me.
Why do you think it was a good REVEAL?? Cause if you think that was a good reveal I would wonder what you think is a bad one. When Ninty tries again in 2012, and they actually have SOLID information and ACTUAL games running on the system, then I would say thats a good E3. Till then Ill stand by my statements

No I’m not a Wii owner only so I buy games on 360 though not a lot of them.
A bad reveal would be them just showing pictures of the controller and confirming the romers.
I think it was a good reveal because it wasn’t the one before its release as there was still more than one year left. Games they showed from other systems is also to prove to fans that they are serious about getting 3rd party support
I’m not saying it was awesome, it was just good and enough to get people speculating and waiting for the big reveal.
