some misconception in the thread
1. 26 launch games include free titles as well as a couple apps (pico pico, media players etc). Also, if there is one must have game stands out from the pack, it would have the majority of the early adapters to pre-order it. ON one hand, you can say the low pre-order number is caused by wide selections of launch titles but on the other hand, you can also say that there is no killer title.
2. 70 more titles in the coming months after launch. Based on the schedule already released up to end of March, I could say in confidence PSV won't have 96 titles released in Japan 6 months after launch.
3. A lot of users choose DD which is why less preorder was placed. The same reason was brought up whenever a PSP or PS title failed to meet expectations based on MC/Famitsu numbers. Since no numbers were ever released, there is no way to prove who is right. However, based on how big used game market is in Japan, it's hard to see DD has a big market there.
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
