It seems like the majority of this argument is based more on what makes an AAA title than anything else ... which is something we're probably not going to be able to find common ground on.
I think most people will agree that between January and June of 2007 most third party publishers were fairly willing to green light larger-budget original games for the Wii (for release between July and December of 2008) than we have seen so far; 12 to 24 months of development with a $8 to $12 Million budget would represent the Wii version of a lot of the major third party games that were released over the last 6 months. These games may or may not fall into your definition of AAA, but they will likely have a large budget and marketing campaign in comparison to most Wii games that have been released.
As for CAL4M1TY's question about why a developer would make a game like this instead of simpler games ... In order to manage risk publishers choose to spread their resources across several platforms and several genres; if they focused on a limited set of genres on the Wii they increase their risk of losing a lot of money.
