WWI - would have taken a while longer for the allies to win without the USA. Because of the increased damage done to the allies during the longer war, the conditions in the treaty of Versailles would have been even more severe. This would have led to WWII occurring sooner. It would probably be this, more than the direct absence of the USA that would have made WWII more difficult for the allies, potentially even to the extent that the axis could have won. After that, history has diverged so much that it's impossible to tell what would happen.
