When will game developers/publishers learn? Multi-platform is killing their potential. Do like every other industry and force it to be a one horse race. Does not matter whether its MS, Sony, or Nintendo, in the end it will be better for the consumer, the hardware guys and the devs.

With that said, I hope we get FFVII in some form no matter what.

so earning more money is bad for them? and which other industry? movies only for blu-ray? lol no?

bridgestone tires only for one car-manufacturer? lol no?

really most industries do the opposite of what you said haha

What you just said is exaclty what the game industry does.

The game industry really is bridgestone tires only for one car-manufacturer.

What if Music, Movies, and TV had first and third party? Say you could only listen to Sony music, or watch Sony TV shows and movies on Sony products. Would that be alright?

What about having to buy a licence to drive cars from different manufactures, or had to have a special reciever to fill up at each different gas station?

This would be like Albersons, Safeway, and Fred Myers saying you can only shop at their stores if you paid for a  $300 5 year membership. Then in at least one store, you would have to pay $50 more a year to use the carts. Along with that membership 3rd party stores (say, walmart, target, kmart) would also be include.

huh? now i have no clue what you first meant lol. you said they should stop multi-platforming and concentrate on one horse. then i say that this isn't the norm in the industry and then you reply to me exactly the opposite of what you first said?

sry have no clue what you meant then^^

you say the game industry is like bridgestone only for one car manufacturer? why that? some exclusives here and there yeah but that's what the industry needs to get better and better. without the "war" between sony, microsoft and nintendo we wouldn't have the great market we have atm.

did you mean that we ony should have one console so we all could play the same games and the developers would only have to develop for one console which would cost less and everyone would be happy? and because of that we wouldn't have this "we can't make it for this console because blabla..."

if you mean this ok then i understand what you mean but i don' think this would be good. i think the console "war" is the best which can happen for the industry. if microsoft wouldn't have xbox live maybe sony wouldn't have the psn store or maybe this would be all there but for example i think xbox live wouldn't be as good as it is without sony. maybe we wouldn't have the whole indie games market then because microsoft tries to be better than sony with things like that.

without this "war" maybe we would only have half as many downloadable games as we have now and if we get a ff remake for one console maybe we wouldn't get it if there would be no competition.
