F-Zero GX isn't that fast, most of it is purely an optical illusion caused by horizontal stripes on the tracks (and there are lots of them). If you manage to look past this illusion, it's actually quite a slow game. Of course there's also the illusion of speed when the game becomes hard to control. GX's controls aren't top notch, so you get a similar feel as in the extreme-g games. The graphics of the game also work with draw-in, something you can easily spot on Green Plant: Moebius Ring.

The WiiWare game FAST Racing League keeps up with the pace and graphics of GX (in some areas FAST is better, like lighting, water and bump mapping), but it only features eight racers instead of 30 at any given time. Still though, a Gamecube game got matched/outclassed by a downloadable game that wasn't allowed to exceed 43 MB of data.

As for my Top 50 games, #29 is Wave Race: Blue Storm (GC) and #28 is Picross DS (DS).

What? Your crazy! I just looked at footage, FAST looks no where nearly as fast as F-Zero GX. F-Fero GX looks like cars going 400km/h in GT5, FAST looks like Mario Kart.

F-Zero GX is fast, I used to have a projector and play this with people on the floor, most people got sick because the speeds were ridiculous.

However yea, a lot of it is added affects. Things like Motion blur make you feel like your going fast, when your not. NFS is notorious for Motion Blur, but FAST is worse. Hit a turbo pad, and you can't see anything, the screen just looks stretched.

I'm sorry F-Zero GX is much faster then any game I have ever seen. If I wasn't so lazy I would embed videos, the difference is huge. How do you even think FAST is, well fast? Looks super slow.

As for your choice. Picross DS is fun as hell. Love that game, beat it so many times, wish there were more puzzles.
