As you can see this years Europe PS3 numbers look just like last year except no new release at all like GT5 last year.  This years week over week change should be more like 2009. 

 I don't know what it's like in mainland Europe but Sony are doing a hell of a lot of bundles / deals on the ps3 at the moment that are crazy value. I picked up a slim with BF3 and FIFA 12 for £199, that's £140 if you just sell the games. There are better bundles going now too... I'd assume it's these that are pushing it up.

 Quick google says similiar deals are running in Germany atm, probably a Europe wide thing.
