The first half of his projection seems to have held true. How do you suppose the latter will play out? Are you writing him off now like Seece did? I can only imagine the meldowns that would occur if PS3 were to pull a 600k week in Americas.

Second, I didnt base this post on BenVTRigger's post.  I based it on common sense.  The 360 was always going to outsell the Wii in the US.  I was just too cautious in my number prediction, who sawe a 60% increase YOY?  I'm sure the PS34 has done very weel at vTriggers store... its a game store.  The difference is that the 360 and the Wii have also done well at non-gaming stores.... where the more casual audience are shopping.  In ben's thread I actally said something like "1m week incoming?"

I doubt there would be meltdown by 360 fans here if the PS3 sold 600k in the US, it tends to be the fans of other consoles on this site that go into sales denial mode when certain numbers are posted... as evidenced nicely on a number of occasions.

For the record... yes, I think the PS3 did less than the Wii, not that it matters as both have been roundly mullered by the 360.  What do you think the PS3 will do?

The irony is in the fact that you expected 360 to have its best BF ever, although it did exceed your expectations. And yet the notion of the same thing happening with PS3 seemed illogical to you. And the exact same thing happened with Wii as well, although it won't beat the full BF 2008 week because demend was constant through the week back then. My prediction is somewhere in the 500k-550k range.
