3 games with much better graphics on PC? No, no, no. All multiplats look significantly better on the PC, that's not even an argument at all. Console hardware is based on tech from 2004-2005 and it shows.
As for Skyrim, the visuals are far less impressive from any standpoint than Oblivion was in its time. I'm thinking of writing a rather long-winded post about the whole game in response to the many (undeserved imo) perfect scores it has harvested. This will of course be in a thread of its own. Long story short; Skyrim visuals are good but nothing more and end up looking almost silly compared to a lot of other modern games. Try comparing it with Witcher 2, for instance. Not an open world game but it gets the point across and shows what a truly stunning looking game is like. Especially the textures in Skyrim can only be described as very poor and animations are still rather clunky and robotic. The engine does a good job at lighting but that doesn't really help when light and shadow dance on unimpressive textures and objects.
