Also, you don't know what developers have under their sleeve. They don't need a development kit to begin designing a game. Their is too many strong titles coming next year Its seems like there are always strong titles nowadays. Halo 4 could also be a strong title to launch their new machine. I mean what if that same disc worked on both machines but was superior on their new machine?
360 is still going strong, don't cut its thunder 360 will stay strong as long as it keeps getting quality software. Which it should since it shares games with PS3 and Wii U. 2012 is too early, Sony won't be a threat yet and Nintendo won't sell enough to be a threat in 2013 Half a year is not early enough to announce a new platform 2012 seems like a great time to launch to me. That's 7 years after the 360 and it doesn't have to bury the 360. It can work with it via backwards compatibility and cross platform online gaming. MS doesn't announce things super early either. The 360 was launched about 7 months after it was unveiled. A 2012 launch would give them an edge as well. They already have Sony reeling and Wii U may be trying to eat into some of their core audience. |
