4th  ?? not much to do with Reggie, sounds like a problem with Ninty at the very top. ALl comes back to them needing more studios, this is where MS and SONy (maybe not MS) absolutely stomp on Ninty at.

Look you say Reggie shouldn't talk if he doesn't have the authority and power to deliver. Reggie says what Japan wants him to, he says what Nintendo's policies are and what Nintendo intends. If Reggie promises casual titles in 2012 and Nintendo doesn't deliver is that Reggie's fault? No Reggie isn't actually in charge of product development. He has input but he does not actually control the development process or have complete say over what is being made.

Also Reggie can't not talk, its his job to speak for Nintendo. Nintendo Japan wants something expressed to North America Reggie expresses it. Nintendo needs someone to try and sell a new product they made in North America, well there Reggie is to talk about it. Reggie is a President who is a marketing expert that doesn't market an expert in targeting different audiences and turning companies around who doesn't actually create or have control over the products.

Reggie is a President who isn't a President. Not saying Nintendo in Japan is in any way bad at what they do. just that they have this marketing genius business expert on a leash. If Nintendo really wants to utilize him and improve North America then they need to give him way more control and say.

As for the fans who wanted Reggie to speak. I'm sorry after his first E3 the internet, the media the whole gaming world was a buzz hanging on his every word. Every E3 since everyone looks forward to hearing Reggie, look when Cammy tried to step in everyone freaked they wanted Reggie. The fact he is taking so much flack and Nintendo Of America taking such a hit. This is all funny because it isn't completely Reggie's fault.

Also yes I do attribute the problem of lack of studios in North America and the fact that all the existing studios target Japan first and North America is second thought. I do attribute that as a problem in Japan hence why I said Reggie wasn't to blame. I doubt if Reggie asked Iwata and said "Hey Iwata-san we need 4 new studios in North America and those studios need to make content for the western market and I should head these studios to ensure they market well in North America" Do you really think Iwata would say "Yah sure Reggie we hired you to run NOA, what ever you need". No Iwata is brilliant but he wouldn't give that much control to Reggie or NOA at best he might say "Reggie your right we need more North American studios, I'll send Miyamoto or one of our other heads to create some new studios in North America. I'll be sure that we lead them to greatness".

Iwata would never to my knowledge give Reggie that kind of control. But that is exactly the kind of control Reggie needs to do his job to his full capabilities. When Nintendo Of America has 3-4 EAD NA studios and Reggie and NOA actually control the content and are making it for North America. Then if Nintendo is still struggling in NA in any way, then you can blame Reggie.

However as it stands Nintendo in Japan is really the ones responsible. Everyone knows this including Nintendo's leadership in Japan. Iwata didn't take a 50% pay cut because it was Reggie's fault. Nintendo centers to much around Japan and not their global operations. They have so much potential they are missing by remaining completely focused on Japan. NOA and NOE need more power and more capabilities, then all of the regions need to work together better and more equally then they do now.

Sony, Capcom, Koei, Square...etc...etc... are all realizing focusing entirely on Japan won't help them advance. You need to focus on North America as well, its fine to keep making products for Japan they sell alright in NA and EU. But you can't always focus entirely on Japan because your competitors are no longer in that mind set. Japan is not the center of the gaming universe anymore it may still be one of the most important global markets. But you need to focus a bit on the other ones as well and if you hire a prodigy like Reggie you need to give him the power and capabilities to actually change Nintendo in North America!

What Japan wants him to say?? Are you kidding? We just had a thread where Reggie stated that the Move and Kinect were offering nothing, but anyone with common sense and an internet connection can see there have been more games supported for those two peripherials than any on Ninty's own. So Japan told him to say something so stupid?? I dont buy it, prove it.  Reggie has given reasons why he didnt want to publish prior games, Fatal Frame comes to mind, so you're telling me that was Ninty's decision all along?? I dont buy it. Reggie can not not talk, BS, ok even if that was true, he could say alot less crap when he speaks.  It sounds to me that you're trying to say he is essentially just a puppet, I seriously doubt that Iwata is telling this guy exactly what to say, if that is true then they are weak asses and using a scapegoat and going by their past actions i doubt that is the case. YOu wanna continue painting Reggie as a victim, i dont buy it, unless you have proof that that is the case, I will continue looking at this guy like the fool I'm sure he is.

Man with the text, Im not blaming Reggie for anything, except maybe Rainfall. I know they need studios in Japan, when i talk Ninty I talk Ninty, not NOA, NOE they are all under the same umbrella, you have me confused with someone else.  My problem with Reggie is he never shuts up and half the crap coming out of his mount lately is just that..crap.
