I dislike the elitist attitude of some posts in this thread.
Newer members are not necessarily worse or better, the fading lack of interest for many, including myself, might as well be contributed to ourselves becoming older, or outside influences such as the industry..
This is the slump, before the new generation begins... And at the same time, we're in a large recession.
Another factor to counter in, is that there used to be A LOT more drama. Sure, that was a bad thing, but it's probably one of the things that made the forums appear so exciting, while they may appear more dull now due to the decrease in said drama.
Of-course there are many factors, but insulting/blaming newer members is a pretty bad way of going about improving the community. Pretty counter productive actually.
