Putting my fingers on the screen while playing is what puts me off the most when I imagine gaming on a device with mainly touch screen input (I can imagine a few games actually being playable and even best with it, but it would be a niche, not the majority). I find instead touch input appealing when it doesn't use the main screen, that is in brilliant solutions like DS/3DS and PSVita. I find touch screen on the main screen acceptable for purely practical uses, when I haven't to feel involved, so excluding games, movies and many other multimedia applications, although acceptable doesn't automatically mean that it be the ideal input method, it depends from case to case.
