I've never really liked Reggie, but I really don't understand the hate he's getting as of late. As I said in a different thread: 'NoE skipped on localising Soma Bringer, but it doesn't mean I want Satoru Shibata's head on a plate'.

However, I do think that NoA are accountable for the localisation (in this case lack of) of games. I just think that NoE has really stepped up their game this generation, not only are we rarely missing 1st and 2nd party games (Soma Bringer is really the only one I care a lot about), but we often are getting games before the US, despite the extra localisation work, such as Mario Kart Wii, the 3DS and most recently Zelda SS.

I think much of this is due to the fact that NoE now has fuck loads of money to throw around, due to the massive leap from the European sales of Nintendo platforms/software last gen and this gen. More importantly though, they are willing to use that money on expanding their portfolio of games (games like Solatorobo, Disaster DoC and Jam with the Band almost certain didn't make a profit and without a doubt not supernormal profit). Also, I honestly think that NoE had no intention originally of localising Pandora's Tower; Operation Rainfall in the US threw the game onto the agenda of the gaming public, NoE just saw a good opportunity to prevent bad publicity and boost their standing.
