Atleast they tried to bring the Halo/L4D for the hardcore Wii gamers, thats an attempt that not many would have been willing to take. But unfortunately the games turned out to be pretty generic and inferior to the offerings on the HD systems. Plus I doubt if there ever was a hardcore audience in the Wii crowd who didn't just have a HD console for their hardcore needs. The only hardcore games on wii that sell are nintendo ips, which are exclusive. Other than that, these games were misplaced. |
This at least you get it, but im not willing to give HVS a free pass just yet. IMHO, they knew they couldnt hold a candle to the HD FPS dev teams, so what did they do? Release an FPS on a system that didnt have much to begin with, it was smart and it worked...for a bit until people realized it wasnt that hot to begin with. It also didnt help that Eurocom came out of nowhere with GE and did what HVS tried to do and made it look easy. Conduit wasnt inferior to HD offerings, it was inferior to most FPS games period. Hell you can get MOHs, Timesplitters, 007s for GC and they were all better than Conduit and those are LAST gen games
