Very good requests.

First and foremost using the same method in development as they did with the PS Vita is key. Developers make the games, give them a voice in what they will be developing for. Make sure the final result a compromise between new technologies, and developer familiarity.
My personal wish is to see a substantial amount of memory included. That is what developers always complain about, and it is not limited to PS3. I would like to see no less than 6GB, although 8GB would be ideal.
Putting a small SSD in every system, with all the proper controllers for SSD's would go a long way in making the system competitive throughout the life cycle. This along with a 12x, 4 layer capable Bluray drive would assure quick load times, and much needed streaming speed.
As far as the CPU and GPU are concerned, PS3 backwards compatibility is a must. Other than that give the devs what they want.
Price wise. I want to see a system on the cutting edge. No less than $400 at launch, but no more than $600. Make sure that losses are no more than $60 to $100 a unit sold.
*OS*
Keep the XMB, and improve the it. Give all sections the same layout as an open picture file, even when browsing files. Allow searches by name, file size, file type, date imported, ect. Allow multiple files or media to be opened at once. Example, multiple internet pages, a video, a song, multiple pictures.
Make the browser competitive. Partner with Google or Mozilla.
Keep enough memory reserved, or allow it to be snapped to the SSD, to allow full XMB access at all times.
Create a miniature XMB that can be accessed in game with only the essentials, (Settings, Pictures, Music, Internet, PSN)
Password protected users, and folders.
I have more, but this allown would be a great start, some would even be nice for PS3.
*Peripherals*
I would love to see the Vita incorporated day one, possibly even in an optional bundle. The dual shock must never leave, and as you said, "leave move, update the eye".
Make external HDD's more integrated, thus allowing for a smaller SSD to save on cost, but expandable cheaper memory. With USB 3.0 it should be plenty fast for video music, and backing up.
*Games*
Set the bar with first party titles just like this gen. Very the offerings from studios to help fill out the portfolio better. Tighten relations with third parties, and do more to get time exclusive. Tier prices better, and balance the sales to price.
Day 1 - $59.99
25M - $49.99
50M - $39.99
I believe this would push more software, and return more profits/revenue.
