I dislike Call of Duty because:
* It's the same crap, with a SLIGHTLY different name every year.
* Graphically, the games suck. No really it's bad.
* Poor PC support.
* Stretched GUI, ugly textures when running it at 5760x1080 resolution.
* Bugs that never get bothered to be fixed.
* Short linear single player campaigns with a poor story.
* Sound is bad. Look at Battlefield for good sound. Elder Scrolls and Halo for good memorable music.
* Boring small maps which lack any real originality.
* No Modding support. I've gone and played PC games that were 10+ years old because of mods which greatly enhance or change the game.
* Pricing. It's one of the more expensive game releases, here it's $100 just for the game, then expect to pay $10 - $20 for DLC which mostly ends up as imported maps from previous games. - What are we paying for? Certainly nothing new or ground breaking.
*Poor animations. - Characters look stiff and like cardboard when they move.

If call of duty took a bit of a chance in a future releases and implemented something truly ground breaking then I might actually go buy and play it. Destructible environments, vehicles, decent graphics and sound etc'. - But that's not a requirement. Just something more original and memorable is all I ask.

You look at a game like Brothers in Arms which has a gripping story and I still remember it years later and all the characters are memorable.
Otherwise the last great Call of Duty game for me was Call of Duty 2. Before they rehashed the same thing every year.
