Well I was surprised by Catherine because I was worried about the puzzle aspects but that actually turned out incredibly fun.
Xenoblade surprised me by living up to most of the hype though I don't consider it the "jrpg savior" some reviewers talk about it as because I take offense to the idea that JRPGs are all so terrible they needed a savior.
To the Moon was surprisingly beautiful in every way, best story I've seen in a video game in years.
