What games have taken you by surprise this year?

Skyward Sword, Xenoblade and Portal 2

My favourite 3 games of the year (followed veeeeery closely by Skyrim), and yet, all of them exceeded my lofty expectations, but probably Xenoblade was the biggest surprise.
