What the fuck does a 3rd party multiplatform game have to do with the launch of a new console????!! When one of the biggest and most anticipated games of 2012, along with the next game in the biggest Microsoft exclusive franchise, are both slated for the 360 and not next gen consoles, then it has EVERYTHING to do with the launch of a new console. 1) IT WILL BE BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE AS THIS TIME THERE IS LIKELY NO TECHNOLOGY CONFLICTS. What does this have to do with anything? Yeah, because people want to drop as much as $400 on a new console just to play the same big releases that they can already play on their current console. 2) GTA5 at this point in the gen is not a system seller. BTW, remember when Mario Kart and Wii outsold GTA4 combined PS360, lol. Yeah GTA5 not a system seller... just like MW3 didn't move consoles off shelves either this past week... way too late in this gen for a 3rd party multiplatform game to have that kind of effect on sales. BTW, remember when Wii had double the combined install base of PS360? And remember when the Wii had no top selling games released for the remainder of 2008 after MK Wii came out except for Wii Fit? Might help explain why MK Wii was able to outsell GTA IV lol. I can sort of see the arguement some have with Halo4. Considering its a very large 1st party title... however, even Nintendo launched a new console with a GC Zelda game.... and it was very successful on both sides of the street.... and Zelda for Nintendo is easily just as big as Halo is for MS. This argument has absolutely no merit or bearing whatsoever. Zelda TP was originally supposed to be the GC's big holiday 2005 release... Nintendo deliberately held it back a year to tack on motion controls and launch it alongside the Wii because the GC was on its deathbed by that time. Name me one notable GC game released in 2006 other than TP. For that matter, name me the GC's "big" holiday 2005 title that replaced TP... bet you can't do it without looking it up. M$ is in the exact opposite situation going into 2012 that Nintendo was going into 2006. |

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
