After reading the whole thread:

Do some of you guys feel offended by this news? You start a personal war against Kowe like he was the one saying this stuff.
This is straight from Bloomberg guys! There are not much sources, which are more reliable.

I said this in 2008 that Sony is in big trouble. They don't have any market left to lead.

They were outperformed by Samusng, Apple, HTC  in the mobile phone-market,
outperformed by Nintendo and MS in the gaming market,
outperformed by Apple for mobile music,
outperformed by Nikon, Samsung and Kodak for digital cameras
and outperformed by Samsung, Panasonic, LG in the TV-market

Sony has to have a focus again. Create their own money maker and expand from this point. Look at what MS is doing with the Xbox 360. They get their foot in the living room and thanks to Xbox Live and all the apps get more and more settled there. With Windows phone 7 they directly use this to cross sell their products, because it benefits each other. Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Windows phone, Windows 7 PC do compliment each other.

Look at Apple and the iPod, iPad and iPhone story. It really benefits each other.

Sony did not do anything like that until a few months ago with their new subscription based service. Give all Sony smartphones an App to program you BluRay recorder or something like that. Make them connect and work with each other through the cloud already.

So a strong Yen is not the only excuse to me. Poor product management is another point why Sony is in trouble.

Kowenicki is a known harbinger of bad news when it comes to Sony related items, kind of like Seece Jr. Basically, people are annoyed with the messenger(s) not the message. It's kind of like the boy who cries wolf constantly, eventually you get sick of hearing him, especially when nothing of signifigance ever comes of it.
