You give the year head start too much credit. What most helped 360 hold a lead was PS3's high price tags.

I don't think so. Every year 1st vs 1st and 2nd vs 2nd, etc, the PS3 outsold the 360... at a higher price and even more so now with similar prices.

Almost every year the PS3 has taken a significant price cut. The lower the price the faster it caught up with the 360.

Hence, if PS3 started at an equal price to the 360 it would have easily surpassed the 360 in a short time. Even with the 360's head start.

You can't deny that. Sony's bad decisions allowed 360 to thrive.
