I really am worrying for Sony, the used to be industry leaders in so many things, but then around the time of the PS3 it all started to fall apart. They managed to turn things around with the PS3 since its launch, but other things haven't fared so well. Their movies business has been okay, but other electronics aren't doing especially good, and Sony is fading in all those areas as Samsung replaces them
Their attempts to turn this around have seemingly failed with the Sony Tablet S not really taking off, so the only potential bright spot would be if they could get their new Sony android phones right (once the take over is through), but I feel that they are too late to the party
As for the direct gaming side, I don't think Sony is going to fall apart to such an extent that they stop making consoles, as they could just become a service provider if the hardware continues to struggle
As a Sony fan, I am worried, but I think PlayStation will be alright
