Pretty agreeable in my IMO. Pushing consoles further through more optimized coding would do the industry better. Imagine a industry where the Big Three keep churning out consoles too regularly with game makers being "lazy" with their stuff. I mean if the console cycles come and pass too quickly it's a little unsustainable I think.
Through extended console cycles, game developers are forced to produce games through more optimized means. Would these experiences contribute to the development of future projects? I think so.
But for a more personal viewpoint, I wouldn't want to shell out hundreds of dollars for a new console anytime soon. HELL NO I'M BROKE.
