lol all the people saying it isn't insulting. Depends on how you look at it and whether you are a bigger Capcom supporter who owns Nintendo's hardware. I won't quote what others are saying because I actually agree with the fact they have a right to be insulted. I'll support this.
Fact of the matter is when was the last time you heard a publisher or developer state they had no reason not to bring a game to a console? I can't recall any time in recent history where a game developer or publisher has not given a reason. Even if the consumers didn't like the reason the developer or publisher almost always gives a reason.
Why do they give a reason? Because they have consumers and supporters who own the platform they are not bringing the game too. Those supporters and consumers deserve a reason and there definitely is a reason. So why is Ono hiding the reason? Don't the fans deserve a reason?
Capcom was successful in large due to Nintendo's user base. Back from their move onto platforms the success of the Street Fighter franchise itself has been very linked to Nintendo's user base. During the GameCube era Capcom continued supporting Nintendo because they knew they had a huge user base on Nintendo's platforms. That support continued with Wii and DS because they had a ton of Nintendo supporters.
So yes it is insulting to not give a reason to all your fans why they are getting neglected while all the other platforms are recieving the game.
As for consumers not having a right to be upset because a developer can choose to develop on any platform he wants. Your right and wrong, your right a developer can choose to develop on what ever platform he wants but your wrong his user base has every right to be upset by that decision if their is no reason for it.
Lets say Gears4 was a Nintendo WiiU, PS4, Vita, 3DS and Mac title and did not see release on Microsoft's platforms either PC nor Xbox. When asked Epic says "Umm yah there really is no particular reason" do you honestly believe that the fans are going to be like "Yah its his decision, I guess I'll go buy a PS4". No the fans are going to be upset.
Now evidently many members here are not offended. But I have met others who are and I personally agree with them and why they are offended. Personally I am not a Capcom fan, I could care less whether Street Fighter X Tekken comes to WiiU or 3DS. Honestly I wouldn't buy it either way.
But I can definitely see why some fans are upset and the whole "They have no right to be" is sort of laughable!
