Both systems had the X-Band adapter. I'm not sure why the Genesis versions of any game get picked over the SNES versions when it comes to the VC. Those of us growing up with Nintendo remember playing games like Earthworm Jim on the SNES, not the Genesis.

The three SNES SFII titles are already on the VC, so Capcom just wants to give an additional incentive to people to buy more SFII with this Genesis version.
By the way, Earthworm Jim was superior on the Genesis. It had an extra level.

Yes the Genesis version had an extra leve, but the snes version had fancy graphical effects. But I was wondering about the X-band cause could network code already be in the genesis version of the game? But you're probably right.

Could you explain what this has to do with anything?? I really dont know about this xband, but in this day and age they cant get a game running online?? Beacuse it might not have code written in it??? Write the code into the SNES version if thats the case. Hell, the KOF games released on PSN have online and SNK doesnt have anywhere near the resources that Capcom has.
