Seeing this just makes what i said in the other thread seem even more true, the games havent changed at all since they started. Look at GTA1 then the trailer who GTAV and MGS4 over MG, then this. Its just the same game in 3D.

Yet for some reason everyone can seemingly put down Call of Duty games for being the same thing every year with little to no change and get rated a 2 on metacritic but these Mario Games do it even worse for decades and everyone gobbles that up.

Mario games don't release every year. Super Mario 3D Land is only the fourth original Mario platformer developed for a handheld. Four games in 22 years isn't as bad as seven CoDs in six years.

EDIT: Only counting current generation CoD releases.

But thats just original handheld, last year there was Galaxy 2, 2009 New Super Mario Bros, 2007 Galaxy, 2006 New Super Mario Bros (both handheld),  2005 Super Mario 64 DS etc and thats not including all the Mario Karts, Mario & Luigis, Mario Partys, Mario Sports games, Mario & Sonics and so on.

Theres countless games with Mario a year, another one comes out next month. Even if theyre spinoffs nothing is milked like Mario.

Seven CODs in 6 years, theres well over 20 Mario related games in the last 6 years.
