Well I know it may sound misleading in the title but it would appear that 24 is coming back, just not to North America. A 24 series will be launching based on India's fight against terrorists. The localized new 24 series will feature veteran 24 actor Anil Kapoor who will be filing Jack's protagonist role in the new season of 24. 20th Century Fox signed a deal with Kapoors on production company to produce the Indian series based on everyone's favorite counter terrorist series.

Kapoor mentions that with growing acts of terror in India and its surrounding regions "The timing could not be better. It's very, very relevant over here."He expects 24 to take off in India and expects it to be a run away hit. No word on whether the Indian version will be dubbed or subbed for fans of 24 around the world.

Kapoor has re-assured fans that the series will strongly resemble the North American series in which it is based. Reports from IGN indicate " the show is expected, at least initially, to closely resemble the original's early story arc. But will they eventually get to the Kim Bauer and the cougar storyline?!"

Kapoor really became a household name with his smashing role in Slum Dog Millionaire. Do you think he can pull off 24? Are you an Indian who is dying to see a Indian version of 24? As a 24 fan are you going to watch the Indian series dubbed or subbed? Are you interested in the fact that many of our American shows are seeing localization in other countries like the Russian version of How I Met Your Mother? Or should these series simply be dubbed and released as they are in these countries?
