so can others

but they don't need to and won't.they are still a buisness with a plan and strategy to recover what they invested and plane for the future

Launching a nextbox soon when there is no way sony can afford to do so for at least 2 years would be a perfect move.

Their financials are dire, much more dire than people seem to realise.

their financials are dire cause they invested in PS3 and had a long term plan

everybody wrote them off in 2007-2008 as going bankrupt within a year

and what now,they are the top selling console?

 

their financials current are down because of currency reasons,future plans(ecosystem creation,sony tablets/erricsson purchase/qriocity/VITA/R&D/PS4 investment)

 

Nothing about that is fanciful in the slightest.

anyways let me jst break it down to you why MS will not and doesn't have to(even if they have to beat SONY/NINTY) release next year

 

1)Current crisis and poverty and coming global crisis of next year,europe and usa both have over $30 trillion dollar of debt

2)GTA,COD NEXT,HALO 4 - rockstar and activiosn will fuck MS if they release 720 next year cayse it will go against the sales of GTA and COD partnership they have.Plus HALO 4 release.

3)Alot of other publishers will also not like it and will start supporting WiiU or PS3

4)They don't have enough studios to compete with SONY and NINTY for exclusives

5)Ecosytems are being formed between phones,tablets,PC,Television.The market is no longer open.manufactures can make their own OS and have it on all their devices.They need MS to make them an ecosytem on tablets and phones and pay royalties.

With Android,iOS ecosystems huge userbase.MS will need its own ecosystem.

Apple is gonna converge its MAC and iOS ecosytems,they already have done alot with OSX lion  and

SONY is building its own Network(Qriocity music and movies) which will run through VITA,BRAVIA,PS4,SONY phones(thats why they bought Erricsson share recently).

MS is struggling as it doesn't have a hardware department(for phones,tv,tablet).They are struggling with WP7.they will still try with Windows 8,WP7 Nokia partnership,720.

6)MS has invested big time in XBOX and 360,they are still in RED big time.
