some of the lower scores baffle me. While I agree Uncharted is a touch overrated (my own personal score is 87), anything below an 8.0 is trolling. Sure, you may not like it, but objectively it does so many things so well that you really shouldn't be giving it a low score unless you're the kind of douche that goes "Well I don't like this, so I'mma give it a horrible score to troll meta".

I hate Halo, but I wouldn't give it a bad score.
I hate Grand Theft auto IV, but I wouldn't give it a horrible score

Objectivity, people.

Great locales
great graphics
Outstanding sound
top-notch writing
Unrivaled voice acting
truly wonderful action set pieces
Nice blend of gunplay, platforming, and adventure/puzzle solving

on the flipside:

Some visual glitches
aiming issues
too linear for some.

but I say that, while linear is bad to a lot of people, it was a sacrifice Naughty Dog had to make, because there's no way they'd be able to make the experience as exciting as it was if you were granted full freedom. I'm okay with linearity as long as there's a reason for it. this is a perfect example of that. The visual glitches are unpleasant but not game breaking, and the Aiming issues are gonna be fixed.

Giving a game a 4/10 because it's linear, or a 5/10 because it's mechanics are 'archaic' is bullshit. especially when those same publications gave games like Modern Warfare a rave review in spite of an utter lack of innovation there. I don't know why they felt so inclined to give a shitty score, but they can both blow me.
