Only if you believe the sales pattern of the game was going to magically change.  Uncharted 2 opened to less and is looking to finish LTD just north of 5 Million.  Gears 2 - to give the kind of game you're referencing - opened much bigger but had much lower ongoing sales and is around 6 million so far.

Uncharted titles simply have less fronted loaded sales patterns.  Based on the numbers so far Uncharted 3 will open higher than Uncharted 2 and assuming - and there seems little reason not to - that it follows the same sales pattern then it will finish LTD with more than 5 million in sales.

No every game is front loaded and TBH too much focus and expectation is given to games automatically being front loaded IMHO.

If Uncharted 3 opens to more than 1 million at this point, with a holiday period to give it strong opening legs then it'll be performing well against the franchise's own baseline.

As usual you're one of the few people here making sense. This whole Uncharted3 flopped is nonsense.

Anyway, damn at HOTD PS3 had a bigger opening than the Wii one. How the hell does that work. Lets get a sequel
