But it does have a chance. Both this year and next year will be massive for the 360 in America. This year due to how well it's selling already and next year due to the price cut.

And then it will sell at least a couple of years after that.

@Player1x3 its definately possible if you look at the numbers.

The ps2 is currently sitting at +56mil but its putting up really really low numbers atm...so i think it will end up at 57 mil or just below.

Id like to see xbox doin even remotely close to ps2's numbers in its 11th year

360 is at 33.8mil and will likely end this year at 38 - 39 mil.

so you think it will sell 5-6 million in next 1.5 months ONLY IN AMERICA ??? That's some serious ddelusion right there

It should have a relatively strong year in 2012, but i think it will be significantly down irrespective of the price cut, as sales will be significantly down during slow periods, new wii u console releasing and possibly nextbox hype. My estimation for 2012 sales is about 7mil. That should put 360 at 45mil

You can't possibly think that's possible, do you now. 7 million in america only in its 7th year with all the hype about next gen?

after that microsoft will look to position 360 as the budget home console of choice (not sure about this though, all depends on how commited they are to the 360 and how well nextbox does) but if it does happen 360 will continue to sell respectably for at least another 3 - 4. They could have a possible  4 - 6 mil year in 2013. This will depend on when nextbox gets announced. But that would then put 360 at 50mil.

That's a lot of ''ifs'' and best case scenarios there .Not really much to go on.

After that ps2 numbers are in site and all MS have to do is support it relatively well, keep it relevant as a budget console and keep it on the shelves for a long enough period. If it stays on shelves as long as the ps2 then it probably will reach ps2 numbers.

Its really not such a craxy statement to make. So i think you wrong for calling out Seece on that prediction.

I believe it is. It is wrong to assume a console can sell almost 100% of its LTD sales in its last years...
