I think a lot of conservatives, because they approach politics in a rather emotional, reactionary manner, get confused about what it is they're talking about. To them, stating their preferences can be the same as saying "This is how people should live".
Are you actually suggesting any legislative changes? Or are you just informing us of the fact that you want to marry a woman who'd give up her career to raise you children?
